Anand Maurya is a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) student at Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University (CSJMU), Kanpur, whose interests extend beyond clinical education into the fascinating worlds of philosophy, Yoga, breathing science, and human well-being.

From an early stage in his academic journey, Anand developed a deep curiosity about the relationship between the human body, mind, and breath. His understanding of physiotherapy introduced him to the scientific foundations of anatomy, physiology, neuroscience, and rehabilitation, while his interest in Yoga opened the door to ancient perspectives on awareness, consciousness, and inner transformation.

This intersection of modern science and traditional wisdom became the inspiration behind his debut book, Magic of Breath: Where Ancient Yogic Wisdom Meets Modern Science. Through this work, Anand explores an important question: Can the knowledge of modern science and the wisdom of ancient Yoga come together while respecting the integrity of both?

As an emerging author and researcher, Anand believes that knowledge should not simply be accepted but explored through questioning, learning, and rational understanding. His approach reflects a desire to make complex subjects accessible, practical, and meaningful for everyday readers.

Through Magic of Breath, he presents breathing from multiple perspectives, including anatomy, physiology, neuroscience, rehabilitation, Pranayama, and yogic philosophy. His aim is not to establish one perspective as superior, but to encourage a thoughtful dialogue between scientific evidence and traditional understanding.

For Anand, this book represents more than his beginning as an author it marks the beginning of a lifelong journey of learning, research, and exploration. He aspires to continue contributing to the fields of physiotherapy, rehabilitation, breathing science, Yoga, and philosophy while creating educational resources that connect scientific knowledge with traditional wisdom.

With curiosity as his foundation and learning as a lifelong pursuit, Anand Maurya invites readers to pause, observe, and discover the remarkable significance hidden within something as simple and profound as every breath.
